Chapter 7 - Rosy

Rosy woke up this morning and tried hard to garner the excitement she had when she first found out she had a client. She knew why she was upset. Draven fucking Haught. She’d known he was the one night stand she’d picked up when she went out of town, but she didn’t want any flaky behavior getting back to the quasi family she was trying to impress. She’d just gotten back into her cousins life and she had basically been absorbed into the Haught family. There really wasn’t any place that she truly belonged and Alec had shown her how far on the outskirts she was with him telling her to simmer down when it came to family business. Her family was pleasant but no one knew what to do with her. From the time she was born addicted to narcotics thanks to her waywardly mother and whoever supplied her with drugs that evening to the time she mistakenly thought that her cousins return from dropping out of college was a punishment directed at her she had been handed off to relatives in a virtual hot potato game. It had made her used to being alone but it had also led her to understand the power of touch. She was given food, shelter, and comfort at all the places she stayed when she was younger, but not much else. Rosy had been looking to reactions forever but the person that really opened her eyes was Camden when he made her face what she’d done to Gemmi. She’d never been so sorry in her life and sometimes the callousness of what she’d done crushe her soul.

She got to her studio, opened the door and took a deep breath of what this all meant to her. It was another chance to give back, it was a chance to give someone what she’d wanted her whole life and it was a chance for her to heal herself as she helped others. Rosy had been bending over backwards for the last 18 months or so but when she’d helped True with a secret sale a few weeks ago the woman had paid her so handsomely she had been able to get her business started and have a nice sized cushion to use while her business got started.

She had arrived an hour before her appointment was due to show up. There was aroma therapy that the client had requested – ocean breeze, so she’d added some light audible soundscapes to complete the scene. The paperwork was signed and the client was cleared through the medical team and her security team so she just got to be the cuddler. One of her uncles used to ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up and she never had an answer, but one day he told her that she should get a job that she loved because then she’d never actually work a day in her life.
